Dear Royal Friends,
Hello! I am so excited about our upcoming Royal Wedding Breakfast at North Hills Club. Yesterday was full of good surprises. If you haven’t heard, OUR PARTY has garnered national attention! PRNewswire sponsors a Hot List of current events. In their latest article“Top 10 Places to Watch the Royal Wedding”, #5 was The Royal Wedding Breakfast and Viewing at North Hills Club, Raleigh, NC! Isn’t that fun?
Before I could begin the morning, my phone started ringing off the hook. This article was picked up by ABC, CBS and a host of other media outlets. (Just Google “Royal Wedding North Hills Club” and a whole page of articles will be displayed.) Three TV stations and two print media have requested to cover OUR event. So, as Patricia Danielsen said, “I guess I’ll have to go buy a hat now!”
We’re opening our doors at 5:00 AM, Friday. Sign in will be in the Lobby of the Club. (Address: 4824 Yadkin Dr., Raleigh.) Checks can be made to “Friends of Mirembe” which supports the African Children’s Choir and their NC home The Mirembe House. (Fun Fact: The Choir performed before Queen Elizabeth II in 2008) Breakfast will be served at 5:30 in the Lounge and the Grill room. There will be six large screen TVs available for us to watch the Wedding.
We have commemorative prizes to give away which just arrived from Buckingham Palace. Included in the festivities are a Milliner’s Choice (Best Hat) Contest, Best British AccentContest judged by Lady Georgina Hill, Best Dressed Mother/Daughter Duo prize and much more! So, practice your curtsy and dress for the cameras. If you forget your tiara, I have a few to share.
Also, REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR CAMERA! Never know who you might see at the Royal Wedding Breakfast!
We are going to have a delightful time. My special thanks go to Kristin Taber, co-chair, and the ladies of the King’s Park Raleigh congregation who are hosting this special event.
